Danse ensures the brahmin is secured outside the Library before he follows Curie inside. He really hope no one slaughters it or steals it while they are inside given the trouble Piper went to getting it for them. But taking the creature inside the library is hardly a good idea, even though it probably couldn't make more mess than a horde of Super Mutants.

He rests a hand on Curie's shoulder - well, the metal plating covering her shoulder at least, in what he hopes is a comforting gesture.
