Nuka and Noodles
Who: Curie, Paladin Danse, Piper ?
Where: Diamond City
When: Sometime after this.
What: Curie is sitting on the bench just outside of Piper's with a bowl of Power Noodles that she happily bought from Takahashi along with a bottle of Nuka Cola to wash it down with. And she waits for Nat to run and find Piper for them. As much as Diamond City still has a dislike of synths, Curie still loves every chance she has to visit the city.
"I do hope Mademoiselle Wright won't mind helping us with this rather impressive en devour of ours," says Curie with a twinge of hope in her voice. And while the trek to Diamond City was rather uneventful, Curie does hope for a bit more excitement to come their way. "And I do hope this is not a bother for you." She really hopes Danse is up for this, and she knows all too well this is a dangerous thing for Danse to do since his exile from The Brotherhood. And with the Prydwen still visibly moored at the airport despite the heavy clouds, Curie still has to wonder what has drawn Maxson's ire this time.
But she lowers her head, and she stirs her noodles with her chopsticks before she eats another mouthful just as a drop of rain falls to the ground at her feet. "Oh dear, perhaps we ought to wait for Piper inside."

And it isn't just The Brotherhood, but The Minutemen who might be willing to exactly what the public wants. And the public's hearts are not in it for anything but themselves.
"Besides I can't print anything, if the two of you never come back." She speaks with a sad smile on her face. "And maybe when you come back, things here will be even better."

Perhaps he should be adding more to the discussion, putting forth his own ideas and thoughts on it all. But he's ever the soldier, waiting for orders. She leads, he follows.
"There is no right or wrong choice, Curie. Just what you feel is best."

And eventually logic seems to be winning. "We can first explore The Commonwealth, and we can of course venture outside of it. But we shouldn't go too far." Curie makes some form of compromise with herself, and without any drawn borders, it shouldn't be too hard for them to wander outside of The Commonwealth.
"But we still need supplies." And Curie looks over to Piper with a smile on her face. "And we need to find a pack brahmin."

She clasps her hands together, and she goes to grab hold of her little sister. "We're going to find you the best brahmin a handful of caps can buy! And I know of just the spot too."

He gives Curie's shoulder a light squeeze. "It seems we have quite the journey to plan then." He looks at the globe again. It's out of date, an ancient relic, but it's a starting point.

And without further adieu Piper steps out from her office, and heads out to The Fens to hunt down a Brahmin.

"Or are there pockets of civilization that has since evolved to learn to better handle a global catastrophe." There is another tug to go beyond, but logic must win in Curie's mind. "There are so many questions I still have to find the answers to. But perhaps not all questions need answers."

Danse shifts awkwardly. "I imagine the devastation of nuclear war has reached far and wide. I doubt there is much of the world that hasn't been scorched and scared by war. But... I could be wrong. After all, I've only seen the Commonwealth and the Capital Wasteland..." Possibly. He's not entirely sure whether that part of his life was real or merely a false memory implanted by the Institute.
"Time will tell, I suppose. We shall venture far and wide and find your answers."

"But alas I also fear that through previous wars that the world no longer wants to be civilized."
She slowly gets up from her seat, and she smiles. "Let us see about getting some supplies, so we can begin our very long journey."

But for now, they should probably concentrate on the Commonwealth and the neighbouring areas. That alone will present a great number of challenges.
"Of course. I have some caps saved up. We can use them to buy what we need from the market."

And she then clears her throat, as she leans against the red door to look at Danse. "Perhaps we should wait until Monsieur Percy is working." She doesn't trust Myrna, no; she doesn't like the very paranoid merchant much.
"But I do know we are in need of ammunition and I might consider a power armor frame." It might help her keep up with Danse, and with a cobbled together pieces of armor they come across, some extra protection as well.
