Nuka and Noodles
Who: Curie, Paladin Danse, Piper ?
Where: Diamond City
When: Sometime after this.
What: Curie is sitting on the bench just outside of Piper's with a bowl of Power Noodles that she happily bought from Takahashi along with a bottle of Nuka Cola to wash it down with. And she waits for Nat to run and find Piper for them. As much as Diamond City still has a dislike of synths, Curie still loves every chance she has to visit the city.
"I do hope Mademoiselle Wright won't mind helping us with this rather impressive en devour of ours," says Curie with a twinge of hope in her voice. And while the trek to Diamond City was rather uneventful, Curie does hope for a bit more excitement to come their way. "And I do hope this is not a bother for you." She really hopes Danse is up for this, and she knows all too well this is a dangerous thing for Danse to do since his exile from The Brotherhood. And with the Prydwen still visibly moored at the airport despite the heavy clouds, Curie still has to wonder what has drawn Maxson's ire this time.
But she lowers her head, and she stirs her noodles with her chopsticks before she eats another mouthful just as a drop of rain falls to the ground at her feet. "Oh dear, perhaps we ought to wait for Piper inside."

Protecting the Commonwealth is one thing, segregation and punishment of synths is something else entirely. Boy how times have changed!
"We'll be as careful as we can be. It is a dangerous, unpredictable world out there though."

And it is almost possible for Danse to know what she is thinking, and maybe there is more reason to this vault thing than she wants to let on. And the harden and worried look vanishes in favor of a forced smile. "Just make sure you got plenty of Med-X and stimpacks. Oh, and stay clear of the chems! And be sure to let me know if you find a vault! Because if you do I'll come join you, because I've got an idea or two up my sleeves."
She grabs hold of the rope to the Brahmin, and she goes to hand it off to Danse out of worry it might drag Curie for a ride if it finds something tasty to eat or a ruined house to climb.

"And do not worry, we will be very safe and we will make sure to find away to get in contact with you." Curie looks at Danse, and she tilts her head to the side. "Though how is that possible? There is no telephone and I do not believe the mail has been delivered in two hundred years! Is there a Pony Express? Telegraphs?" Curie's appetite to learn about this new world is massive, and learning more about how people have adapted is almost as interesting than to see how bacteria and viruses have evolved in a radioactive wasteland.
And she looks to the Brahmin who snorts in annoyance at being distracted from the dry tufts of grass. "I think we should get going before it gets dark." Curie spins around, and she looks at the compass with a smile on her face. "Now to pick a direction and to follow it! Monsieur Danse?"

"We will find a way to make contact. I'm sure there must be some kind of radio towers beyond the Commonwealth we can get operational. Or perhaps we could attach notes to the wild birds and hope they find their way back here..." He doubts there is any official mail channels these days. Perhaps once they secure more settlements then the can try establishing a mail route - an ambitious goal.
The Brahmin will have plenty to eat along the way. Danse can't see the appeal of dried, irradiated grass, but the beast seems thrilled at the prospect.
"Hm. How about west?"

"I would avoid the birds. Rumor from some of the settlers is the crows are cameras sent from The Institute." But Curie isn't sure what to make of those rumors, they are simply rumors and perhaps crows somehow survived the bombs. And then there are the gulls, are they cameras too? She looks up towards the sky as they make their way west, and she frowns as she looks at the broken buildings of Boston and she wonders what stories they can tell.
"And let us not forget that we were going to visit The Boston Public Library." Curie still wants to find some pre-war books that were left untouched by the war.

"Of course, we must not forget about the library. Those books must be preserved for the future - if any have survived this long, especially the mutants lingering there. Those beasts have no respect for literature."
Handwavey to Boston Public
"Let us hope the mutants have decided to leave the library alone." She walks over towards the door, and she gives it a tug only to find that it is locked. And there is the automated voice telling giving them a variety of options. And Curie goes to pick the one stating they work there, and it is completed with the sound of the door opening.
And without hesitation, Curie uses her metal hands to open the door and she steps inside. And a look of wonder is soon replaced with one of sadness. "To think of all of the books that has been ruined over the years." And the sound of the Protectron security team can still be heard waddling about the halls. "Le'sigh but let us hope there are still some books that have withstood humanity and nature."

He rests a hand on Curie's shoulder - well, the metal plating covering her shoulder at least, in what he hopes is a comforting gesture.
"I'm sure some must have survived. Who knows, perhaps there are electronic records as well..."
